Sheep Unit

Sheep Unit

The Sheep Unit is an important component of our regenerative agro ecosystem, designed to promote sustainable livestock farming while supporting rural livelihoods and environmental balance. Sheep are well-suited to diverse climatic conditions and play a vital role in small-scale, low-input livestock systems.

Our sheep farming model follows eco-friendly and animal-welfare-focused practices, ensuring proper shelter, balanced nutrition, and disease prevention through natural and preventive care methods. Crop residues, fodder crops, and silage produced within the farm are efficiently utilized, creating a closed-loop and cost-effective feeding system.

The Sheep Unit contributes to meat production, organic manure generation, and soil fertility improvement, supporting regenerative crop farming across the project area. By integrating sheep grazing with land management, we enhance pasture health while minimizing environmental impact.

This unit also plays a significant role in community empowerment, offering income-generating opportunities for local farmers and providing hands-on learning facilities for agriculture students and young entrepreneurs. Through research, training, and practical exposure, the Sheep Unit helps build a resilient, sustainable, and future-ready livestock system aligned with our zero-carbon and circular agro vision.
